What Is the Information That I Need to Know Before Taking Cipro?
It is important to know and inform your physician if you have any allergies to ciprofloxacin or any ingredients that are included in the mix.
You should not be taking this medication if you are any of the following:
- If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. There are studies that show harmful effects from the medication for the developing baby.
- If you are breastfeeding. It has been known to pass into the breast milk and can cause harmful effects to the baby if ingested.

How Much Is the Recommended Dosage?

How to Take Cipro

What if I Forget to Take My Scheduled Dose of Cipro?
If you forget to take the dose, immediately take it once you remember. However, if it’s almost time for the next scheduled dose, take the scheduled dose and omit the missed dose. Do not take 2 tablets to compensate for the missed dose.
Do not stop taking the medication unless suggested by a physician.

- Cyclosporine, metoclopramide and omeprazole
- Diuretics- this may cause and increase the side effect of diarrhea, and may cause electrolyte imbalance leading to abnormal heart rhythm
- Heart rhythm medication- this may cause alteration and cause heart problems
- Depression medication such as imipramine, iloperidone- mood may be affected if the two drugs interact
- NSAIDS such as aspirin, ibuprofen, indomethacin
