Prednisone is a steroid hormone that functions by regulating the body’s response to any health threatening agents. Because of its great impact to human’s immune system, it could help the body in eliminating or lessening the effects of inflammation. When the body is experiencing low levels of cortisol (an essential compound that aids normal body functions), Prednisone can be an ideal medication.
