Important things to Note Before Taking Zithromax?

- Pregnant or plan to become pregnant. There is no data to show Zithromax causing harm to the fetus, but it is better to be safe.
How Should I Take Zithromax?
It is important to take Zithromax exactly as prescribed by your physician. The usual prescription is once daily without food. This is because the medication is absorbed better by the body on an empty stomach. It is also important to note that maintaining consistent levels of the medication in the blood increases the effectiveness of the medication, so make sure you take Zithromax the same time every day.
If you are taking the oral suspension single dose packet, take out the packet and mix it with 2 ounces of water. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Prior to mixing, make sure to shake it well before measuring the correct dosage prescribed. When measuring the liquid, ensure that you are using the correct measuring spoon to avoid ingesting more than the required dosage.
If you suspect an overdose, immediately proceed to the nearest emergency room, or call the poison hotline.
What should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
As soon as you remember the missed dose take it immediately. If it is nearly the time for your next scheduled dose, do not take double. Just continue with your schedule as normal and omit the missed dose.
How Do I know That Zithromax Is Effective?
You will note an improvement in your condition in the 3rd day of intake. Do not stop taking the medication because of this, since the improvement does not mean that the infection has been cleared. It is important to take the full course as prescribed by your physician.
What Are the Side Effects of Zithromax?
